Nighttime Skies on the 4th of July

The Walt Disney World® Resort will pixie dust the night skies in celebration of America’s Birthday! Whether watching the patriotic display at Magic Kingdom® Park, the rock ‘n’ roll spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, or one of the shows, you can celebrate the holiday with a real BANG – Disney-style!

  • Magic Kingdom® Park in Florida will present “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” This patriotic fireworks spectacular pays homage to the hopes and dreams of America’s forefathers. The spectacular happens twice – July 3rd & 4th at 9p.
  • At Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, the “Coolest Summer Ever” Dance Party leads up to a “Rockin’ Fourth of July Celebration” fireworks show, a pyrotechnic, rock ‘n roll trip across America, where the DJ kicks things off at 5:45p and keeps the party going until fireworks time at 10:15p on July 4th.
  • In Epcot®, the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth show will be enhanced with a special finale – an overture of traditional Americana themes displayed in a pyrotechnic and laser light event. Please note the special showtime for July 4th is at 10 pm.

Other patriotic activities will be taking place around the Parks and Resorts. Consult your Times Guide for complete details of these various activities including the “Voices of Liberty 4th of July Concert,” performances by “Don’t Look Back – A Boston Tribute Band,” and your special opportunity to meet patriotic characters at Epcot’s® American Adventure pavilion.

Celebrating America’s Independence at the American Adventure

Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin in American AdventuresThe American Adventure, Epcot’s® flagship pavilion nestled in the middle of  the World Showcase at Walt Disney World® Resort, celebrates daily the spirit of America’s independence, history and diversity, and reflects the nation’s ever-changing character.

The pavilion is home to the American Adventure show, a dramatic theatrical presentation that combines the magic of Audio-Animatronics with innovations in film and special effects. Guests witness some of America’s most important stories, from the Boston Tea Party to World War II, the writing of the Declaration of Independence to the civil rights movement. The extraordinary effects and period music will make you feel like you are there, celebrating the spirit of the American people. A reminder of the resilience and breadth of the American spirit is present throughout the entire show.

The American Adventure show is a 30-minute theatrical presentation that plays several times daily. Consult your Times Guides for more details.

Celebrate America on July 4 at Walt Disney World

Guests celebrating the Fourth of July at Walt Disney World® Resort will have a choice of fireworks shows as Magic Kingdom® Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ present special pyrotechnics, and Epcot® adds a patriotic tag to its famous “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” spectacular. Here’s what’s in store:

Magic Kingdom® Park Cinderella Castle on July 4
“Celebrate America Fireworks” will fill the sky at 9 p.m. July 4.  Or kick off the celebratory weekend a day early and enjoy the special fireworks on July 3 at 9 p.m. After the fireworks, guests can enjoy Disney’s “Main Street Electrical Parade” of lights, music and magic at 10 p.m. and midnight on July 4 (on July 3, the parade will be at 10:30 p.m.). Park hours on July 4 are 8 a.m.-1 a.m.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Special fireworks set to a rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack will be presented at 9:50 p.m. on July 4, providing guests with a bonus nighttime entertainment extravaganza to complement “Fantasmic!” (which will be at 9 and 10:30 p.m.). Park hours on July 4 are 9 a.m.-10 p.m.

Epcot®
“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,” which features dazzling special effects, colorful lasers, brilliant fireworks, and fiery torches all choreographed to a musical score, becomes even more dynamic on July 4 as the normal show is supplemented with a patriotic finale. The performance begins at 10 p.m. Earlier in the day, guests will be treated to the Voices of Liberty 4th of July Concert – featuring an expanded cast of singers plus the Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps and Disney characters – at 12:30, 1:45 and 3 p.m. on the America Gardens Theatre stage. Park hours on July 4 are 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
