The construction barriers around the backstage access path next in Epcot‘s Mexico Pavilion has been removed. Now, you can meet Donald Duck wearing sombrero and his fellow Caballeros, Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles in front of Mexican inspired temple-ruins. Columns and statues in various states of disrepair add to the ambiance of the area.
This area is also used as an outdoor performance space for the mariachi band, Mariachi Cobre.
Other construction in the Mexico Pavilion for the new quick-service and counter-service restaurants, but expected to be completed later this fall. For now, you can enjoy a quick bite at the temporary booth outside of the pyramid or dine inside at San Angel Inn.
