‘Sounds Like Summer’ Concerts Heat Up Epcot® Nights

Starting in June, things in Epcot® World Showcase will heat up as the Sounds Like Summer Concert Series kicks off for 2015.

This Rock ‘n’ Roll extravaganza puts some of the world’s greatest tribute bands on the stage of America Gardens Theatre to perform some of your favorite Classic hit songs of all time.

This year’s lineup includes:

  • Jun. 7-13: DSB ~ A Tribute to Journey
  • Jun. 14-20: 2U ~ A Tribute to U2
  • Jun. 21-26: Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot ~ A Tribute Billy Joel Show
  • Jun. 27 – Jul. 4: Don’t Look Back ~ A Tribute to Boston
  • Jul. 5-11: Fire & Ice ~ A Tribute to Pat Benatar
  • Jul. 12-18: Stayin’ Alive ~ A Tribute to the Bee Gees
  • Jul. 19-25: Hotel California ~ A Salute to the Eagles

The Sounds Like Summer concerts are included in standard Epcot® admission. Show times are are 5:30p, 6:45p and 8:00p. Entertainment is subject to change without notice.

 

New Live Entertainment Options Coming to Epcot®

Later this fall, the entertainment options at Epcot® World Showcase will receive a refresh. This update will not only enhance some of the existing performances enjoyed daily at Epcot®, but will also replace a few of the current offerings with new acts.

New experiences coming soon include:

  • Italy Pavilion – dynamic flag-waving performers
  • Canada Pavilion – thrilling lumberjack-inspired show
  • Morocco Pavilion – traditional Berber music and dance troupe
  • UK Pavilion – Celtic folk music ensemble

To make room for these new experiences, the following acts are slated to be retired:

  • Mo’Rockin’ (last performance Sep. 27)
  • Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps (last performance Sep. 27)
  • World Showcase Players (last performance Sep. 25)
  • Off Kilter (last performance Sep. 27)

‘Rev Up Your Engine’ with the Test Track® All Stars

Test Track All Stars SignWhen the Test Track® Attraction in Epcot® closed for refurbishment last week, Walt Disney World® Resort Entertainment introduced a new musical show to their schedule.

Test Track® All Stars is a hi-octane musical show that features 5 Chevrolet “employees” that perform on their breaks. As an a capella  group, they perform various driving-themed songs for guests during their show which lasts about 15-minutes. The Test Track® All Stars perform different songs in each show, so be sure to stop by for more than one show!

Some of the songs performed include:

  • See The USA In Your Chevrolet
  • Ease On Down The Road
  • Life Is A Highway
  • Car Wash
  • Grease Lightning
  • Born To Be Wild
  • You Can Drive My Car
