‘Harambe Nights’ Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beloved Disney classic film The Lion King, Walt Disney World® Resort has announced the addition of Harambe Nights. Making its debut in June 2014, the park’s first-ever ticketed special event will include a welcome reception, dazzling theatrical production, and a lively post-show street party.
Here are some details on the event:
- Welcome Reception – Harambe Village
Enjoy a selection of savory appetizers, wine, and beers. - “The Lion King Concert in the Wild” – Harambe Theatre
Complete with a celebrity narrator, choir, and a live orchestra, “The Lion King Concert in the Wild” will transport you to the African savanna where stage theatrics and excerpts from the classic Disney film blend together to bring the story to life. The 55-minute show will take place inside Harambe Theatre, the brand new home of the Festival of the Lion King show. - Post-Show Street Party – Harambe Villiage
After the show, take to the streets of the Harambe Village for a party featuring with dancers, performers, characters from The Lion King, and a buffet with a culinary nod to Africa. A selection of beers, wine, specialty beverages, soft drinks, and water will be available and included with event admission.
Harambe Nights will take place every Saturday Jun. 7-Aug. 9, 2014 from 7p-10:30p. Pricing for general admission of the event is $119 ages 10+; $79 ages 9 and under. Upgraded premium floor seating tickets run $134 ages 10+; $94 ages 9 and under.
