This cool new technology, which guides you through the theme parks with tips that can help you reduce time in lines, discover magic around every corner and take the guesswork out of “what’s next.”

Built right into the My Disney Experience, Disney Genie service will maximize your park time, so you can have more fun. It includes a personalized itinerary feature that will quickly and seamlessly map out an entire day. From specific attractions, foodie experiences and entertainment, to general interests like Disney princesses, villains, Pixar, Star Wars™, thrill rides and more – just tell Disney Genie what you want to do and it will do the planning for you.

Introducing the Lightning Lane

For even more convenience and flexibility, there are two other options for enjoying the theme parks, through a new queue called the Lightning Lane entrance that also saves you time in line. Take your day to the next level with either of these services:

Disney Genie+

Choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of over 40 attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance. You can make one selection at a time, throughout the day – from classics like Haunted Mansion to thrill rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad® and newer favorites like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (attractions subject to limited availability).

Disney Genie+ also includes Disney parks-themed audio experiences and exclusive Disney PhotoPass® augmented reality lenses.

Individual Lightning Lane Selections

Schedule a time to arrive at up to two (2) highly demanded attractions (that are not included in the Disney Genie+ service) each day using the Lightning Lane entrance – like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom® Park or Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® (subject to limited availability).

As an added benefit for guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels or Shades of Green, they can make their first purchase starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit before off-site guests at park opening.

Disney Genie is a complimentary digital service within the My Disney Experience app that can help you make the most of your day. It will generate a personalized itinerary inspired by the things you tell it you want to do, offer tips for spending less time waiting in line, and also provide other helpful recommendations throughout the day.

Disney Genie+ service is an add-on option offered for purchase that lets you select arrival windows for the new Lightning Lane entrance at select experiences throughout the Walt Disney World® theme parks. Selections can be made one at a time, throughout the day. The service also includes access to interactive augmented reality lenses and audio tales, featuring fascinating facts and behind-the-scenes insights about the parks.

Disney Genie+ service is available as a single-day purchase through the My Disney Experience app. You may purchase it any time after 12:01am of the day you’d like to utilize the service. You may choose from the “multiple parks” (Park Hopper tickets required) or a “single park” option. Disney Genie+ is subject to availability and may sell out on your day of visit.

Prior to your visit, you can begin selecting your favorite things to do and mapping out your days. Any Lightning Lane attraction selections—either as part of Disney Genie+ service or as an individual purchase—can be made on the day of your visit.

There are 2 ways to select times to arrive at Lightning Lane entrances: 1) purchase Disney Genie+ service or 2) purchase entrance to an individual experience. Each option offers a different set of experiences to choose from.

  • Option #1: Through Disney Genie+ Service
    This service lets you select the next available arrival window for the Lightning Lane entrances, one at a time, throughout regular park hours. More than 40 attractions and entertainment experiences across the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are included in the service (all experiences are subject to limited availability). Lightning Lane selections can even be made across multiple theme parks when you choose the “multiple park” option and have purchased the Park Hopper option with your tickets. You’ll be able to make your first selection at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit. This service also includes access to interactive Disney PhotoPass® augmented reality lenses and audio tales. Pricing varies based off of the date of visit.
  • Option #2: By Making an Individual Lightning Lane Entrance Purchase
    Lightning Lane entry as an “á la carte” purchase will be offered at a few of Walt Disney World® Resort’s most popular attractions. This option can be purchased by all Guests—with or without the purchase of Disney Genie+ service—and lets you choose a time to arrive at the Lightning Lane entry at up to two (2) attractions each day (purchased one at a time). Guests of a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels* can make their first purchase starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit. All other Guests can make their first purchase at the regular time the park opens. Pricing and availability will vary by date, attraction, and park. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for current prices and attraction availability.

For Disney Genie+ Service:
Once you have Disney Genie+ service, you can book the next available arrival window for your first experience via the My Disney Experience app beginning at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit. Once you’ve redeemed your initial selection (or the arrival window has passed), you can make another selection using the app, up to park closing.

For Individual Lightning Lane Selections:
You can purchase individual selections for up to two (2) different attractions per day.

  • Guests of a Disney Resort Hotel and Other Select Hotels can make their first purchase starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit. Available to Disney Resort hotel Guests and Guests of Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green.
  • All Other Guests can make their first purchase when the park opens.
