Disney Cruise Line® will reposition the Disney Magic® to Europe for an unprecedented, five-month season of Northern European and Mediterranean cruises in 2010. The voyages sail from late April through mid-September and allow you to explore exotic and unfamiliar destinations with the safety and comfort of traveling with Disney Cruise Line.

For the first time, Disney Cruise Line® will offer a 12-night Northern European Capitals cruise, where you can experience breathtaking fjords, historic city centers and Viking lore at enchanting Scandinavian ports such as Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm. The ship will also sail to Warnemunde, Germany, gateway to Berlin, and to St. Petersburg, Russia. The Disney Magic® will overnight in St. Petersburg, allowing you time to experience the city known as the “Cultural Capital of Russia” or use the second day to book a shore excursion to Moscow.

Departing out of Dover, England, the Disney Magic® will sail a total of four 12-night cruises to the Northern European Capitals in June and July 2010. Rates for the 12-night Northern European Capitals itinerary start at $3,649 per person for a category 11 stateroom.

Book-ending the summer season in Northern Europe, the Disney Magic® will once again return to the Mediterranean with 10-night and 11-night cruises, but with three new ports of call not offered when Disney Cruise Line® last sailed the region in 2007. In addition to popular ports in Italy, France and Spain, the ship will visit Tunis, in Northern Africa, the island nation of Malta and Corsica, an island oasis off the southern coast of France known as the birthplace of Napoleon.

Disney Magic Drydock Enhancements

While the Disney Magic® is in dry dock from Sept. 6-24, 2008, the ship will undergo a series of upgrades that will benefit Guests of all ages. Here is an overview of the exciting enhancements to take place aboard the 2,700 passenger cruise ship:

Indulgence and Relaxation
Quiet Cove Pool, the serene retreat reserved for the enjoyment of adults, will undergo a makeover including upgrades to Cove Café, the pool and the deck area. Cove Café, the ship’s sophisticated coffee lounge, will incorporate a new seating area with plush, comfortable chairs providing the perfect venue to relax while sipping a cup of gourmet coffee. Meanwhile, the adult pool will be outfitted with soothing, cascading waterfalls from the two hot tubs. Teak deck and lounge chairs with plush cushions will line the pool, creating an inviting, stylish ambiance in line with the Vista Spa and Salon.

Fun for the Little Ones
For more efficient and hassle-free check-ins, there will be new registration areas for Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a Neverland-themed play space for children ages three to seven, and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, a whacky and interactive laboratory exclusively for children ages eight to twelve. This sets the stage for incorporating Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in the youth activity areas later this year. With RFID tags embedded on wristbands, children will simply tap a sensor to check in and out of the clubs.

Even the youngest cruisers will have a “splashtacular” time at the new Mickey’s Splash Zone, a toddler water playground inspired by “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” from Disney’s Fantasia. This 385-square-foot extension to the Mickey’s Pool on Deck 9 will feature star- and moon-shaped interactive fountains, a soft play surface and whimsical splash zones for an inviting environment for children not yet toilet trained and in swim diapers.

New Conveniences
The Guest Staterooms onboard the Disney Magic® are receiving an infusion of technology with the installation of LCD flat-screen television sets. The new 22-inch units will be mounted on a swivel arm to allow easy viewing from multiple locations within the stateroom.

Win Your Disney Dream – We Won Ours!

During The Year of a Million Dreams, guests of the Disney Parks have the opportunity to win one-of-a-kind dreams and experiences.  Winning is simply a matter of being in the right place at the right time.  While the celebration is winding down, you still have a chance of winning throughout the rest of 2008.  Off to Neverland Travel® owners, Chet and Joni McDoniel, recently spent their vacation at the Walt Disney World® Resort, and they were the recepients of a Disney Dream.  Here is their story:

“While waiting in line for Turtle Talk with Crush, we were greated by three Disney Dream Squad members.  They explained to us that we were simply in the right place at the right time, and we were winners of a Dream FastPass.  The Dream FastPass, unlike normal FastPasses, gives you the opportunity to visit each of FastPass attractions, in the park where you won, once during the day you won, at a time of YOUR choosing.  We felt very special to have won a Disney Dream, and while Dream FastPasses do have great time saving value, our 6 month old found a new value in winning…apparently, those Dream FastPasses sure do taste good as you can see in the picture above!”

Want your chance to win a Disney Dream?  You need to get your trip booked with us as soon as possible!  Click here to start planning your Walt Disney World® Vacation.
