New Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station Now Open at Magic Kingdom® Park

After several days of heavy rain in the Walt Disney World® Resort area, a wet play area is probably the last thing on the minds of guests right now. But as soon as the Florida sun and heat returns, the new Casey Jr. Splash ‘n’ Soak Station will be a popular hangout And as you can see in the photo gallery below, Disney Imagineers weren’t kidding when they included the word “Soak” in the name!

Casey Jr., the famous locomotive from Dumbo, and his train of circus animals fits perfectly into its surroundings at Storybook Circus. It joins the Dumbo the Flying Elephant® and The Barnstormer® attractions which had previously opened to guests earlier this spring.

The Storybook Circus area is just one part of the New Fantasyland® Area expansion that is happening at Magic Kingdom® Park.

Video: Red Car News Boys Perform on Buena Vista Street

Disney California Adventure® Park has a new show performed daily on Buena Vista Street. Inspired by the spirit and style of Disney’s movie and stage musical Newsies, the Red Car News Boys perform tunes authentic for the 1920s – 30s time period like “California, Here I come” and delivers the news from the Buena Vista Daily Bugle. Of course the show wouldn’t be complete without an appearance from Mickey Mouse, the cartoon star who got his start in that period!

Enjoy this exclusive video of the Red Car News Boys performance last week.

The Red Car News Boys perform several shows daily. Please refer to your Times Guides for the daily schedule.

Park Favorite Adds FASTPASS® Service at Magic Kingdom® Park

New Dumbo

Beginning today, the Dumbo the Flying Elephant® Attraction at Magic Kingdom® Park will begin utilizing Disney’s FASTPASS® Service. This, in addition to the added second carousel and new interactive Big Top Tent “queue-less queue,” should make waiting for one of the park’s most popular rides a little easier on the little ones.

Guests can collect a FASTPASS® for the Dumbo the Flying Elephant® Attraction outside of Mickey’s PhilharMagic® Attraction in Fantasyland®. Both the second carousel and the interactive Big Top Tent have been in “soft opening” testing and have been open sporadically throughout the day but are expected to open permanently in July.
