The Walt Disney World® Resort has announced that “Glow with the Show,” an innovative technology that has been in use for over a year now at Disneyland® Resort, will soon be available in its East Coast parks.
These interactive ear hats will make their debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® on Oct. 15th, 2013 – on the 15th anniversary of their nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic!. The ears will magically sync with the show and change color based off of events happening in the production, bringing the spirit of the show right into the audience. But the fun doesn’t stop with Fantasmic!. Other implementations of the technology include:
- On Oct. 19, “Glow with the Show” ear hats will start interacting with Wishes fireworks show and the Celebrate the Magic projection show on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom® Park
- Interaction this holiday with The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks spectacular
- “Hidden” interaction outside of shows – like when two sets of ears come close to each other and near special locations around the Walt Disney World® Resort.
