‘Glow with the Show’ Coming to Walt Disney World® Resort

Glow with the Show Ears The Walt Disney World® Resort has announced that “Glow with the Show,” an innovative technology that has been in use for over a year now at Disneyland® Resort, will soon be available in its East Coast parks.

These interactive ear hats will make their debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® on Oct. 15th, 2013 – on the 15th anniversary of their nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic!. The ears will magically sync with the show and change color based off of events happening in the production, bringing the spirit of the show right into the audience. But the fun doesn’t stop with Fantasmic!. Other implementations of the technology include:

On Oct. 19, “Glow with the Show” ear hats will start interacting with Wishes fireworks show and the Celebrate the Magic projection show on Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom® Park
Interaction this holiday with The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season fireworks spectacular
“Hidden” interaction outside of shows – like when two sets of ears come close to each other and near special locations around the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Disneyland® Park Adds Holiday ‘Glow With The Show’ Opportunity

Imagineers at the Disneyland® Resort have added yet another opportunity for guests with the “Glow with the Show” Ears to shine!

“Glow with the Show” Ears will now sync with the Believe… In Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular when guests are in the Main Street, U.S.A.® and Central Plaza Areas of Disneyland® Park. The ears, which can be purchased at most Disneyland® Resort merchandise locations, also sync with World of Color, Fantasmic!, Mad T Party, and throughout various locations in Cars Land.

‘Glow with the Show’ Expanded To Disneyland® Park

As we reported back in July, guests at the Disneyland® Resort have been lighting up the night with the help of their “Glow with the Show” Ears at Disney California Adventure® Park.

Now, Disney Imagineers have expanded that technology to include the Fantasmic! Show inside Disneyland® Park. This change brings a extra splash of color to the Rivers of America area during the nighttime spectacular. Using infrared trigger technology, the colors in the Ears sync up with the scenes of the show.

“Glow with the Show” Ears can be purchased at many retail locations throughout the Disneyland® Resort.

‘Glow with the Show’ at Disney California Adventure® Park

As they say, “the show must GLOW on!” Ok, maybe that isn’t how the saying goes… But, now guests of the Disneyland® Resort can light the night thanks to new Glow with the Show Mickey ear hats that change colors in sync with shows at Disney California Adventure® Park.

These new hats feature iridescent lights that change to compliment the imagery and beat of the World of Color and Mad T Party shows. The fun doesn’t stop at the shows though. When not activated by one of the shows, the ears glow with other settings magically placed around Disney California Adventure® Park. Outside of the park, the ears will put on a show of their own!

Glow with the Show Ears are available at select locations inside Disney California Adventure® Park for $25. Walt Disney Imagineering is currently looking at opportunities to expand the programmed Glow with the Show interaction into Disneyland® Park.
