Mad T Party Brings an Unique Event to Disney California Adventure Park

Mad T Party Concept ArtA fun new show will be taking over the stage at the Hollywood Pictures Backlot in the Disney California Adventure® Park. ElecTRONica will have its last show this spring to make room for the Mad T Party.

The Mad T Party, based on Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” will feature many familiar characters with a few surprises! The new nighttime family celebration will have a live band, games, dancing, and some very unique entertainment.

The psychedelic event will start Summer 2012. We will bring you more details as they become available.

Disney Fantasy Departs Shipyard Harbor

The Disney Fantasy™ has departed the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany where it was constructed. It will now convey down the River Ems into the North Sea. Disney Cruises 2013 with New Ports and Itineraries

Disney Cruise Line® will sail from and make visits to new ports in 2013! Exciting new itineraries include an European cruise with visits to Venice Italy and the Greek Isles. The Port of Miami will also serve as a second home port in Florida offering Caribbean sailings.

Bookings for the new 2013 sailings begin Jan. 26, 2012. Here is a sneak peek at some of the highlights of the new schedule:

Mediterranean via Barcelona – Disney Cruises 2013

Disney Cruises 2013The Disney Magic® returns to Europe on June 1, 2013, with an updated Mediterranean itineraries. Guest will have a choice of a four-night option and special 12-night sailings in addition to seven-night itineraries treating guests to the best of Europe.

The new 12-night sailings visit destinations such as Venice, Italy, and Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast on one itinerary and Ephesus, Turkey and the Greek Isles including Athens, on another. Each itinerary will offer a sailing departing in June and another departing in July.

All itineraries depart from Barcelona, Spain. Rates start at $796 per person for four-night cruises, $1,015 per person for seven-night cruises and $2,244 for 12-night cruises for a standard inside stateroom, based on double occupancy.

Mulan and MushuDisneyland® Park is celebrating the year of the dragon during their Happy Lunar New Year Celebration! Taking place Jan. 20-29, guests will experience special cultural performances, unique food offerings, fun activities, and character meet-and-greet opportunities in front of “it’s a small world.” Observed within the Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures, Lunar New Year is an opportunity for families and friends to gather and wish each other good fortune and good health for the coming year.

Some highlights of the celebration include:

  • Daily cultural performances include a Chinese Dragon dance troupe, lion dancers, ribbon wand dancers, Korean drummers, Vietnamese musicians and dancers, and martial artists.
  • Mulan’s Chinese New Year Procession
  • Character meet-and-greets with Mulan, Mushu, and Chip ‘n’ Dale dressed in festive Asian-inspired attire.
