Purchasing Travel insurance is an excellent idea for protecting your vacation investment. Price for the Disney travel insurance is $69.95 per adult with children under 18 free. It protects you from trip cancellation and interruption including airfare even if not booked through the Walt Disney World Travel Company.
Here are examples of what travel insurance covers*:
Trip cancellation/interruption, including coverage for nonrefundable unused prepaid airfare purchased through Walt Disney Travel Company, your Travel Agent or on your own, for covered reasons such as:
- Employee termination or layoff through no fault of your own after the effective date of coverage if you are an active employee with the same employer for at least one year
- Called into active military service, or having military leave revoked, or being reassigned within 10 days of departure
- A disabling sickness, injury or death causing trip to be cancelled
- Hurricane or inclement weather causing complete cessation of travel services at the point of departure and/or destination

- Loss of baggage/personal effects
- Emergency medical transportation
