With the recent release of Cars 2, we are even more excited about the opening of Cars Land.  Scheduled to open in 2012 in Disney California Adventure® theme park, the land will recreate the iconic town of Radiator Springs.  Check out great attractions like Radiator Springs Racers where you find yourself in a race with other guests of hairpin turns and steep banks.  Join Mater at Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and fly on Luigi’s Flying Tires at Casa Della Towers.  Then grab at bite at Flo’s V8 Cafe or the Cozy Cone Motel.  Check out this virtual fly through of the new land:

Tinker Bell and the rest of the Disney Fairies are flying back to the Magic Kingdom® Park for meet-and-greets beginning July 28, 2011. The Pixie Hollow gang will be stationed at the Adventureland Veranda in the Adventureland® area of the park.

Until that time, you can meet the fairies at Epcot® near MouseGear.

Tip: For the most updated information on meet-and-greet locations for any Disney character, pick up a Times Guide at any Disney theme park.

Time to get the costumes ready – advanced tickets for Mickey’s Halloween Party are now on sale for the Disneyland® Park in California!  Mickey’s Halloween Party is your chance to dress up and trick-or-treat with Mickey and friends. Each event features exclusive viewing of the Halloween Screams fireworks spectacular and access to nearly all attractions, including Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday.

Also be on the look-out for appearances by some Disney Villains, special treat stations, Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade and special activities for the whole family.

Fridays: Guests may enter Disneyland park as early as 4 p.m. Event runs from 7 p.m.–12 a.m.

Two new ways for guests of Walt Disney World® Resort hotels to live like their favorite Disney characters are now on sale. Building on the success of Pirate Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, new “Disney Story Rooms” are now available for guests booking vacations in 2012 – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and the Royal Guest Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

Opening in early Spring 2012, the Royal Guest Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside allow princes and princesses of all ages to stay where Disney royalty have stayed. Guests find regal touches left behind by some of their favorite Disney characters like fiber optics special effects above ornately decorated beds with gold and crystal accents; custom linens and drapes; and in-room art and details including princely banners and princess friends.

Walt Disney World® guests also can now book rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, a brand new Walt Disney World® Value Resort opening in early Summer 2012. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will immerse guests into their favorite Disney stories – including Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” and “Cars,” as well as Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Lion King” and “The Little Mermaid.”

The one-of-a-kind resort will feature more than 800 standard guest rooms and more than 1,100 family suites (which sleep up to six people) at its completion.
