New Tastes and Events Coming to Epcot® Food & Wine Festival

This fall, Epcot® will celebrate 62 delicious days of sipping and savoring when they host their International Food & Wine Festival from Sep. 14-Nov. 14, 2016! Loyal festival fans and first-timers will enjoy more than 30 outdoor marketplaces, nightly concerts, signature dinners and feature tasting events.

While Cast Members are still hard at work planning all of the details, we have a preview of what’s in store:

  • “Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It!” hands-on workshops inside the Festival Center will offer a chance to “sharpen up” your culinary skills from chefs, bakers, mixologists and other pros.
  • Culinary icons like Cat Cora, Norman Van Aken, Masaharu Morimoto, Elizabeth Falkner, Buddy Valastro and Jamie Deen will entertain foodies and inspire their palates at new and returning premium events that include reimagined Party for the Senses grand tastings with new concepts and themes.
  • Pair wines, beers and ciders with savory and sweet dishes as you stroll the World Showcase Promenade using your complimentary festival passports as a guide.
  • New marketplace menus debut and some of your festival favorites return! Choose a favorite hard soda to mix with vanilla ice cream for a sweet treat at Desserts & Champagne marketplace. Or try the new savory dishes making at the Greece and Farm Fresh marketplaces.
  • Multiple new Eat to the Beat concert acts debut while fan favorites return to play a total of 186 festival concerts! New Acts include Wang Chung, Delta Rae, and Toad The Wet Sprocket. Confirmed favorites include Wilson Phillips, Boyz II Men and Jeffrey Osbourne.
  • The Festival Center will once again host the complimentary Back to Basics weekend series featuring epicurean tips and tricks from the pros, book and bottle signings and The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar, hosted by Ghirardelli and offering guest samples.
  • Chase will once again offer their lounge for debit and credit card members featuring complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments, a charging station and comfortable seating for a relaxing break inside American Adventure.
  • Rockin’ Burger Block Party and Party for the Senses grand tasting events will showcase creative bites and palate-pleasing sips from eminent chefs and beverage experts plus new live entertainment. And new resort premium events will include a Grand Floridian brunch with a twist and a new cooking school experience.

It looks like the 21st Annual Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival is going to be great!

Many events and activities are included with regular Epcot® admission including Back to Basics series, special book signings, Eat to the Beat concerts, cultural adventures, Marketplace Passport and all attractions and park entertainment. The Party for the Senses grand tasting events, signature dinners and other special wine and culinary programs require reservations and separate event admission. Reservation bookings for premium events will be available later this summer.

2015 Epcot® Food & Wine Festival Premium Events

Summer is flying by! Before you know it, the Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival will be upon us! And this year, there’s more ways than ever to experience it! Every year, the festival hosts some events that are included with standard Epcot® theme park admission and some additional “over-the-top” premium events that require a separate fee.

Here’s a look at some of this year’s premium events!

  • Culinary Demonstrations – Join some of the most celebrated chefs in the World as they share some of their cooking tips and offer a sample of their dishes and paired beverages. $15 per person. Daily at 1p, 3p, and 5p
  • Mixology Seminars – Skilled mixologists will provide a mouthwatering lesson on some common and also original libations. $15 per person. Daily at 6p
  • Beverage Seminars – Sample an assortment of wines and beverages as you pick up a few fresh skills from the experts. $15 per person. Daily at 12p and 4p with added 2p seminar on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Beverage Boot Camp – Step it up behind the bar with this 2-hour seminar providing an intense basic beverage training that will sharpen you skills in the worlds of cuisine and libation. $119 per person. Select Sundays at 1p
  • What’s Cooking with… – Dine with some of the most famous faces of the culinary world as they share their favorite dishes, offer amazing insight, and sit down for a Q&A segment. $129 per person. Select days at 10a. Scheduled guests include:

Locations include Flying Fish Cafe, EPSN Club, Fulton’s Crab House, The BOATHOUSE, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Jiko, Trattoria al Forno, California Grill, The Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Cellier, The Wave, Portobello Country Italian Trattoria, Artist Point, Narcoosee’s, and The Dining Room at Wolfgang Puck Grand Café. Food & Wine Festival and ‘Eat to the Beat’ Concert Series Kicks Off Tomorrow

Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the 17th Annual Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida. With that will come the live sounds of 18 different musical acts as they perform their greatest hits! This year’s performers cover many different genres, including pop, rock, soul and funk.

Three New FREE Experiences at Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival

The Countdown is on for the 2012 Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival taking place Sep. 28 through Nov. 12, 2012.

While the festival offers a variety of premium events and experiences at a charge in addition to your admission to Epcot®, there are also quite a few that are complimentary to all guests. This year, Epcot’s® International Food & Wine Festival planners have announced three new events that won’t cost you a penny!

Chocolate Experience: From the Bean to the Bar Hosted by Ghirardelli® Chocolate Company: Everyone loves Chocolate! This new experience will put your sense of sight, taste and smell into sensory overload! Marvel at the sweet sculptures created by Disney pastry chefs and learn about the fascinating origin of chocolate. Shop for gourmet chocolate gifts and try some of the free samples. The Chocolate experience will be located inside the Festival Center and open daily from 9:00 a.m. through park close.

Wine Sampling at the Festival Center Wine Shop: Also located at the Festival Center, the Wine Shop will offer wine samples provided by the various beverages companies participating in this years festival. Sampling will be available daily at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The Watermelon Patch Hosted by The National Watermelon Promotion Board: This experience will allow you to visit a real watermelon patch! Guests will see the watermelons growing and discover fun facts and tips from Mr. Food.

Two New Events Announced for Epcot® International Food & Wine Festival

Epcot Food & WineEpcot® has announced the addition of two new events for this year’s International Food & Wine Festival.

The Marketplace VIP Access Chef Tour will provide guests with tastes from five selected marketplaces around the World Showcase and a behind-the-scenes interaction with the chefs. The two hour tour will include five preselected dishes and five adult beverages and is available every Wednesday starting at 10:30am. Cost is $90 plus tax and requires separate park admission.

An Italian Regional Food & Wine Luncheon will creatively pair wines with casual, authentic dishes for its guests. The luncheon will take place Wednesdays and Saturdays from noon – 2pm at Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar inside the Italy Pavilion. Cost is $75 plus tax and requires separate park admission.

Celebrate the Art of Flavor

Experience a kaleidoscope of culinary experiences at this year’s Disney’s California Food & Wine Festival, taking place April 16 – May 31, 2010, at Disney’s California Adventure® Park and select locations across the Disneyland® Resort.Disney’s California Food & Wine Festival

Disney’s California Food & Wine Festival includes experiences for anyone who appreciates the art of food, wine and beer. Chefs, winemakers and brewmasters will celebrate The Art of Flavor with entertaining culinary demonstrations, outstanding wine and spirits seminars, and delicious food, wine and beer. You can experience the talents of chefs Guy Fieri and Cat Cora of Food Network, along with Disney culinary masters and special guests, as they present their gastronomic talents in a full menu of complimentary demonstrations and signature paid events, such as winemaker dinners, Sweet Sundays, the Napa Rose Cooking School and Taste Food-Wine-Life – a night that celebrates the essence of the festival with a mosaic of food, wine and live entertainment.

This year, the Hollywood Pictures Backlot comes to life with artists, musicians and an international beer menu at the Brewers Collection. At the new Festival Showplace located in Stage 12, you can sample from a delicious tapas menu at the Taste of California Marketplace and relax at the new Hollywood & Wine Lounge.

Among the most popular events at the festival are live culinary demonstrations and autograph sessions with popular celebrity chefs. Along with Guy Fieri and Cat Cora, those scheduled to appear include Robert Irvine, Jeffrey Saad and Kerry Simon.

Hundreds of complimentary experiences and cooking demonstrations will entertain you during the 46-day festival, many featuring the talents of Disneyland Resort chefs. Enjoy seminars that feature outstanding wine, spirits and beer.

At the spectacular ticketed events, food and wine aficionados will collect cooking tips from chefs, mingle with noted winemakers and celebrate the palette of flavors presented by culinary masters.

Also new this year is a Brewmaster Dinner on May 7, 2010. The ingredients for this memorable evening include savory seasonal fare artfully paired with handcrafted Karl Strauss beers.

Events returning for 2010 include the gala Taste Food-Wine-Life and other popular experiences:

  • Taste Food-Wine-Life: This fun, high-energy evening combines the best elements of the Food & Wine Festival into one grand celebration on May 29, 2010. The immersive party will have live entertainment, an outstanding selection of wines and colorful décor. Guests will stroll from station to station sampling delectable food dishes created by the chefs of theDisneyland Resort.
  • Sweet Sundays: The sweetest of all events features a light buffet breakfast and sparkling toast at the new Festival Showplace in Disney’s California Adventure Park. Guests will see demonstrations and taste signature desserts created by acclaimed pastry chefs, including Richard Ruskell of Montage Beverly Hills.
  • Winemaker Dinners: Disneyland Resort chefs partner with premier California winemakers to prepare outstanding culinary delights at exclusive Winemaker Dinners on selected Friday nights. Each festival meal is paired with award-winning vintages and served at Steakhouse 55, inside theDisneyland Hotel.
  • Napa Rose Cooking School: Disney Executive Chef Andrew Sutton will once again lead this hands-on course that sells out quickly. Each class will create and enjoy a four-course meal, expertly paired with wines, and each class member will go home with a white chef’s coat embroidered with the festival logo. This rare opportunity takes place in the show kitchen of the renowned Napa Rose restaurant at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® & Spa. Guests must be at least 18 years old.
  • Introduction to Wine Tasting: In this entertaining class, Advanced Sommelier Joy Cushing introduces Guests to the joys of wine tasting. Guests will learn about wine regions, varietals, growing and harvesting techniques and then test their skills with a blind tasting.
