Hall of Presidents Celebrates Our Nation’s Leaders Daily

Happy Presidents’ Day!

It seems like no better time to take a behind-the-scenes look at the Hall of Presidents Attraction at the Magic Kingdomยฎย Park. The Hall of Presidents was inspired by the “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” exhibit that Walt featured at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair. When the Hall of Presidents opened in 1971, Walt’s original one-man-show was taken to a new level when all of the past Presidents were presented on stage at the same time. Since then, each new President has been added to the show.

Disney Imagineers joined with Pulitzer-Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin to complete the latest refurbishment which includes President Obama.

Blaine Gibson, the original artist of the animatronics in the Hall of Presidents, created all of the figures with the exception of Barack Obama. Obama was sculpted by Gibson’s protege, Valerie Edwards.
