Celebrating Presidents Day with ‘Limited Time Magic’

Disney Parks have released details on the next “Limited Time Magic” events, and the fun centers around Monday’s Presidents Day holiday!

Walt Disney World® Resort

Presidents Day – A Weeklong Celebration – Epcot’s® popular a cappella group, Voices of Liberty, will perform special musical performances Feb. 18 – 24. Taking place at the American Garden Theatre, the show will pay honor to our past and current chiefs of our great nation. Check your Daily Times Guide for showtimes and additional information.

Disneyland® Resort

Voices of Liberty: Presidential Celebration – Disneyland® Park’s Voices of Liberty will be performing a similar show at the Main Street Opera House Feb. 18, 19, 22, 23,and 24. Their impeccable 8-part harmonies in this special show is some “Limited Time Magic” that you won’t want to miss!

New Theatrical Show Coming to Disneyland® Park

Mickey and the Magic Map Late last summer, Disneyland® Park closed the Princess Fantasy Faire to renovate the Fantasyland® Theatre for a new theatrical stage show.

Debuting in Summer 2013, “Mickey and the Magical Map” will bring another live entertainment experience to Disneyland® Park. While still in development, the Creative Entertainment team at Disneyland® Park gives the following synopsis of the show:

The wise sorcerer Yen Sid tells of a wondrous map – one unlike any other – with the power to take dreamers to any place imaginable. But when young apprentice Mickey Mouse attempts to paint the map’s one unfinished spot, he stumbles into a fantastic adventure through worlds of music, color and beloved characters, as he discovers the mystery of the map’s magic!

During his adventure, Mickey will encounter classic Disney characters like Pocahontas, Mulan, King Louie, and Princess Tiana.

At this time, no official dates have been set for the opening of “Mickey and the Magical Map,” but we will keep you updated when that becomes available.

What’s Next Campaign: “I’m Going to…”

I'm Going to Disney World Tonight after the big game, one player will stare into a TV camera and shout these famous words – “I’m going to Disney World!”

Started in 1987, New York Giants’ quarterback Phil Simms was the first to participate in Disney Parks’ “What’s Next?” campaign after his team’s triumph in Super Bowl XXI. Since then, this groundbreaking concept has been used to produce commercials for Disney Parks that air shortly after many current events.

Here are a few “What’s Next?” Fun Facts:

While the Super Bowl has been the catalyst for the most “I’m going to…” commercials over the years, other athletes and celebrities have participated in them after winning these events:
- America’s Cup
- NBA Finals
- World Series
- Miss America
- Stanley Cup

‘Limited Time Magic’ Celebrates ‘Super Sunday’ and ‘Lunar New Year’

New “Limited Time Magic” events have just been announced for Disney Parks!

Countdown to Super Sunday – Goofy is hitting the streets of the Magic Kingdom® Park for a special Super Sunday celebration. A preparade will be held daily Feb. 1 – Feb. 4, 2013, right before the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade. And on Monday, the parade will include a special MVP appearance! And through Feb. 9, stop by Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe and try out some of their special Super Sunday menu items!

Disneyland® Resort

Opening Date Set for Fantasy Faire in Disneyland® Park

Fantasy Faire Concept Art The Disney Princess experience will soon change at the Disneyland® Park when the new Fantasy Faire opens to guests on Mar. 12, 2013! An extension of the current Fantasyland®, Fantasy Faire will bring some of your favorite timeless tales to life! Located in the former Carnation Plaza Gardens in the shadows of Sleeping Beauty Castle, this expansion is an enchanting, immersive area for anyone who treasures fairy tales.

Inside Fantasy Faire, visitors will find the Royal Hall, a meet and greet area where many Disney Princesses await them. In the charming village square is Tangled Tower. At the Royal Theatre, enjoy two different shows telling the tales of Rapunzel (Tangled) and Belle (Beauty and the Beast) presented by a pair of vaudeville-style Renaissance storytellers. ‘True Love Week’ Comes to Disney Parks

Disney Princes and Princesses As part of their “Limited Time Magic” offerings, Disney Parks has announced “True Love Week” just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Love will be in the air as “True Love Week” hits the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida and the Disneyland® Resort in California. Taking place Feb. 11-17, 2013, romance will be the theme of the special “Limited Time Magic” events happening around the Resorts. Whether it be a romantic dinner for two or a photo opportunity with one of Disney’s “sweethearts,” these events are something you won’t want to miss!
